Hello, just my (possible) 2 cents, or whatever...
Back in 1980s in Moscow we used the following formula in our camera club.
It was known as FGF, but people in the club who had access to foreign
literature on photography said it was identical to Microphen:
Water (T 50 C) 750 ml
Sodium Sulfite 100 g
Hydroquinone 5 g
Borax (crystalline) 3 g
Boric Acid 3.5 g
Potassium Bromide (10%) 10 ml
Phenidone 0.2 g
Cold water to make 1 l.
I cannot guarantee that the above is indeed Microphen, but whenever I hear
the name this is the formula I think of.
Who knows, it might help?
Cheers,
Fyodor.
This is the exact formula in The Film Developing Cookbook that the authors
call Ilford Replenishing Developer. There are also two different
replenishment formulas, one for topping up and one for bleed replenishment.
