[pure-silver] Re: Darkroom--The Movie

Hi,

Strange that they should have Arbus carrying a Rollei since she used a C330 most of the time. She claimed to like the interchangeable lens system. That'll be my next TLR.

Cheers,
Bogdan

The Rollei is not the only "thing" that bothers me.
Her husband is able to devellop a great bunch of 120 film AND make exhibition prints in a night and have them framed at the same time. I wonder is the wash and drying was archival ... As the darkroom was as bright as his studio it is a challenge to make good prints, btw. the way Mrs Kidman handle the camera, and the bulky flash she carries all the time is another annoyance. This movie is full of leads opened and unexplored, and the ones followed are badly covered. I was disapointed because I do like Arbus photography and hoped to learn a lot. Alas, this is not in the movie. So if you're a Kidman's fan, go for it, otherwise, you'd better save your money for a 120 B&W flm.... Of course, this is only my opinion on this movie, you may/can/will have a different opinion and enjoy it !
