[pure-silver] Re: Darkroom advice needed

I worked this way temporarily and kept the moist prints in a flat bottom tray on the floor of the car. Saran Wrap over it keeps the dirt out.

It would be better to wash and dry them on site however- can you put a print washer on a rolling cart and wheel it to your water source and hook up with a quick connect?
I have had many darkrooms without running water and having a sturdy cart for my washer has allowed me to wheel it into the kitchen or bathroom for 90 minutes and then wheel it back out for storage. Quick connectors are available at the pluming/ hardware store designed to hook up portable clothes washers to sinks in similar fashion.

Hello,

My present darkroom is makeshift. However, I now have space for a nice size darkroom. But there isn't any plumbing. For Printing I can carry in and out developer, stop and fixer. I can bring in enough water to soak the prints in a tray. The question is... How can I transport wet 11 x 14 prints to my washing facility 8 miles away?

Quantities are small, I will be able to print one or two evenings a week and make about 3 to 5 keepers at best.

       Ideas and suggestions are sought.

Thanks
