Tom, only that all the original Kentmere products that were made at Kentmere
are now selling from stock and as the plant has been closed they can't be
produced as an identical product on different plant using different
technology (the Ilford emulsion making and coating technology is different
and more advanced that the Kentmere one was). As these products sell out
they will become less and finally unavailable.
The question then is what products will replace them. I can't give you a
detailed answer on this yet and have been expecting to be able to release
info to my mailing list on www.timrudman.com for some months. Ilford do have
plans and have been doing R&D on this. Timetables get adjusted as plans
change and commercial pressures dictate shifting resources and attention
(that is my interpretation, not an Ilford statement).
I had a list of new products to pass on to people on my list a while ago but
that has temporarily been withdrawn/suspended so we have to be patient. I
would anticipate news soon (and have been for some time) but Ilford are
rightly being very secretive about possible new lines until they are
confident they will be launched.
Tim

Tim,
Do you have any idea or information on whether Kentmere Bromide has been
discontinued? Efforts to extract an answer via APUG have not yet
resulted in any statements.
Tom.
