Image gradation is a combination of film AND paper characteristics. Your
idea, however, is very interesting, and that is why Chris and I did this in
general terms in our book Way Beyond Monochrome. We didn¹t look at a
specific film and paper but compared long, normal and short, toe and
shoulder materials.
