   None of the solutions need access to the back of the 
paper for prints except for washing. They do for film in 
order to decolorize the anti-halation backing but that can 
be done in a tray if necessary.
   I have drums made by Bessler and Unicolor. Both have 
ridges running the width of the drums which keep the back of 
the material away from the inner suface of the drums. I do 
large format film in these and have not had problems with 
residual anti-halation dye so I doubt very much there would 
be any problem with prints.
