My vote - whatever it is worth is to keep this list devoted to Black and White.
If people want to create a second list that would be cool, and I would certainly want to be a member of a color list of the calibur of Pure Silver.

I agree completely, except that I would not be interested in the color list. To me, black and white is synonymous with fine photography.
I'll admit that after many years of taking only BxW, I've been playing with color a bit lately, myself. Although I wouldn't have an ideological issue with adding color to pure-silver, I would much rather keep separate lists for the practical purpose of organization and email filtering. With separate lists, it is much easier to follow threads and, when time it tight, triage which ones to read. I'm happy to join chroma.
