It's been a couple of years since I used it, but I seem to recall that I used one of two developers; Diafine or WD2D+.
With Diafine, you really only have one developing time. It's a general-purpose developer that you cannot push or pull. 3 min A, 3 min B.
With WD2D+, the time was probably about 11 min at 72F.If you ever try this developer, follow the instructions - mix it up *immediately* before use. The developing agent oxidizes very fast. WD2D+ comes as a two-part liquid. It's fast and easy to mix. I set everything out right before I start, pour the pre-soak into the tank, then mix the developer, dump the pre-soak, then pour in the developer. I use fairly vigorous agitation for 10 sec every 30 sec.
WD2D+ is somewhat weak and exhausts quickly - I suspect it would not be a good developer for push processing.
Jeffrey, I have quite some EFKE PL100, 4*5, which I assume to be the same emulsion. Somehow I cannot get it working statisfactory. It exhibits a high B+F, low contrast and reduced speed (50 asa, but that is not a real problem). I tried PyrocatHD, Xtol & Lpsupergrain. Could be my batch of film ofcourse. Could you share your processing details?
