I'm assuming that I'm not alone in noticing that Agfa must be using a
lot of dye (?) on the back of their 120 APX100?
I recently dusted off the Yashica Mat 124 and shot a dozen rolls of
APX100. When I poured out the pre-soak water, it was a very deep
blue-black color. The first time I saw this, I about had a
heart-attack - I thought the emulsion was washing off the base!
The resulting negatives are very nice - very clean and sharp. (I used WD2D+)
I have not shot a lot of 120 lately - is this heavy dye thing mostly
an Agfa characteristic, or common to 120 film? I don't recall getting
this with 120 Tri-X.
