Sistan contains thiocyanate and surfactant, but even better product,
Fujifilm Ag Guard is still available on market, and the active
ingredients are disclosed in a publication in scientific journal, an
expired US Patent, and an MSDS, so anyone can make a similar product
in North America where Fuji does not trade their B&W chemicals. I've
asked Photographer's Formulary whether they want to do and offered
help as well.

I think the most important b&w products from AGFA is the two enlarging
papers. Better (my personal judgment) substitutes can be found for
anything else they sell.

People tend to look at products level, but remember AGFA holds a
series of very important patents for a new technology which can
increase the speed of emulsions by 2 to 10 times without increasing
the grain size. A question is who is going to realize this technology
in a product level?
