[pure-silver] Re: Agfa APX 100

I loved shooting APX100. I used it for many years, including my one-and-only
trip to Paris where I spent two weeks photographing. Some of my most
memorable 35mm shots are on this film. I've tried a few different films since
it was discontinued. I like FP4 in 120 and 4x5, but for me it's too grainy
for
35mm (when compared to APX100). FP4's tonal values are nice if you don't
print too large. I've been shooting Tmax 100, at EI 80 and developed in D76
1:1.
I know you've already tried it, but it's a very consistent and reliable film
for me
so far. Nothing will match APX100, unfortunately.

I am down to my last roll of APX-100.
I sure am going to miss this film. It has been a favorite of mine for years,
specially when developed in D-23 with a Borax after bath.

I have tried Ilford Delta-100, Arista, Fuji Across, and T-Max 100. None of
them are the same, to me, as the old APX-100. APX just fit for me, and could
count on it every time.

Anyone have any suggestions?
