[pure-silver] Re: After sinks, your favourite tongs?

Gloves have replaced tongs in my darkroom for many many years. The tongs
were always a fight. The gloves are cheap enough that I replace them as
needed. I wash them off and dry my hands and have not had a fixer print to
speak of. They come in blue, green, purple, textured or smooth. They work
great for mixing chemicals as well. I always liked the idea of having the
print in my hands where I could feel it as opposed to the tongs.

One hand is enough unless you are making 16x20 prints but for 11x14 I only
glove one hand leaving one without chemicals or moisture possibilities.

I'd be too worried about dripping chemicals from the glove onto stuff on the
dry side, although I guess I could rinse my gloved hand then towel dry it to
get around that concern.

I wear only one nitrile glove on my left hand. It is the wet hand and my
right hand is the dry hand. I never get the right hand get wet but
sometimes wash the left hand well and dry it on a towel when I need an extra
hand for things. I get a lot of life out of gloves this way.
