 I'm not entirely sure where you disagree with me though.. ;-)

 My point is that for larger film companies, maximizing shareholder profit
is the end all be all. There's nothing wrong with this, it's a companies
institutional function. Well, check that, there is lots wrong with it, but
this topic would quickly go AWOL.

  All this to say, is that's what large companies are about.

  In regards to smaller sized companies.. no question, lots do it for the
love of what they do. However, at a certain point in time, reality comes
knocking. Look at what's happening to J&C.

  I play guitar and have lots of friends in bands.. we all have day jobs.
So they, like the small guy selling film, will sooner or later have to
submit to the economic realities.

  I'd love to see some figures regarding film and paper sales. I wonder if
it's bottomed out yet. Anyone know ?
