I think we have until just after Puppy2 comes out (as a real release,
not just alpha or beta or RC) for this. That could be a good time for
"the community" to pick up Puppy2 and maintain it, I suggest. Including
redoing it to be built from source, if we can get that far by then.
It's clear that Barry will release Puppy2 himself. After that... we
will see! If we can't work that fast, that's OK too, IMO.
I hope to have some initial packages and scripts published for the very
early beginnings of SelfHostingPuppy this week. I don't want to create
an artificial timetable for SelfHostingPuppy, I have enough pressure
from work and other committments... I'll do this as fast as I want to --
if that is too slow, then others are always free to leap ahead, if they
have more time/energy for it than I do! Maybe cncuser's
PuppyFromScratch will be released before SelfHostingPuppy is completed.
No problem if that happens, this isn't a race :-)
