You cannot install the UK English firmware over the US English firmware or
switch back and forth.

I think you can do that, but then you would lose the functionality for
playing NLS books.

Why con't you use the firmware? Wen the next update comes, you simply download the UK version and instal it. As easy as that.

The UK or other firmware can't be used by anyone here in the US. FS does have the optional charger and battery.

I also doubt, but they have the best veriety. And they have all the
accessories you need if you wanted something extra and at least they wil
supply you with UK or other firmware if you wish. But yes if you can save
money why not?

I just think all in all irti is better with everything.

The only 2 vendors that I am aware of are IRTI and Freedom Scientific.

I had a PlexTalk and have misplaced it. The vendor I purchased the unit from did not have very good tech support. For instance, I couldn't set up the wireless connection and the vendor I had used didn't have any knowledge about setting this function up. I did get the function set up on another system, so I know that there wasn't anything wrong with my unit. The system I installed this function is not available to me to actually use the PlexTalk wirelessly. 



Recommendations will be appreciated.
