Thank you everyone who replied to my request for PTR 1 recording help!
I believe I closed the CDs I made, But I will make a new one, with the above
instructions, and let the list know if this allows me to import its music
into iTunes.

Just to add to what Phil says, although I don't have a PTR1 to check the
exact method, you can finalise the disc by using the following method:
1. Open the menu system and select "Media management"
2. Move to the item called "CD finalisation" and select it.
3. There is then a choice between something like "Disc closed" and "Disc
recordable". If you choose "Disc closed" you cannot add additional
recording. If you choose "Disc recordable", for DAISY CDs only, you can
subsequently add more recording after first running a different process
called "Prepare for editing".
I also found an old electronic copy of the PTR1 manual and this is all
described in Section 8.8.

disk. I have two of these unites but, very seldom use the disk recording
capabilities
