Per,

not to start any "ft" envy, but i use the ft897 for the
base (like the tcxo) and two ft817's. the freq stability
of the ft897 is a real plus in psk. do you know if off
the top if the ft817 uses the same tcxo?? and have
you tried a tcxo in the 817?

Great,
I have used that very same setup lots of times and had
great fun. The 817 is so small I could bring it along
on business trips. I replaced it with an 897 and while
that is a better radio I still miss my 817 and I intend
to get another.

You may find good use for the pskaprs email messages,
sustaining a link may be difficult but sending a one line
email may work better if the condx is difficult.
