Hi Greg, That could confirm what they say here (rxtx is broken in older ubuntu): http://jmri.sourceforge.net/install/Ubuntu.shtml Easy peasy is based upon the older 8.10 and then that does seem broken, I have eeebuntu on the netbook (based on 9.04) and thats fine. Anyway, installing is very easy. The files you need are in the jpskmail directory: 1. cd to the jpskmail folder 2. copy the files to the system java path: sudo cp librxtxSerial.so /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre/lib/i386/ sudo cp lib/RXTXcomm.jar /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre/lib/ext You may have another version of java so it may be java-6-sun-1.6.0.14 or so instead, just type java-6-sun-1 and hit tab. 73 de Per, sm0rwo mån 2009-08-24 klockan 10:45 -0400 skrev Greg: > I did the install but still get the error message and can't enter > /dev/ttyUSB0 as my port.
