Configuration->Misc->Always start new modems at these frequencies.
Configuration->modems->General->
Acquisition search range 30 Hz
Acquisition S/N 6 dB
Configuration->modems->Mail->
Use sweet spot
Server search range 30 Hz.
Attached screen pic shows the color of the waterfall with and without a signal.
Try not to overload the sound card.
I have been using these settings for years now, and I have excellent results in
varying conditions..
Start fldigi first.!!
As soon as you start jPSKmail fldigi will preset some of the parameters, like
the lock on TX.
