Ian,
the file length is only used to set the progress indicator, it is not necessary
for ARQ.
The client uses 'Your file ...etc...' as a tag for file start
amd -end- for file end.
And in case of an email message with attachment it uses
"Your msg:" as a start tag and '-end-'as an end tag.
The attachment is tagged within the mail as usual.
