On my macbook I see this when I try to do a checkout:
ww@ngwenya$ svn co svn://www.crusefalk.se/jpskmail
[...]
A jpskmail/javapskmail/src/Images/Y.png
A jpskmail/javapskmail/src/Images/home.png
A jpskmail/javapskmail/src/Images/y.png
A jpskmail/javapskmail/src/Images/bus.png
Says to me that there is a Y.png and a y.png in the repository.
The HFS filesystem is actually not case sensitive so to the mac
both these files are the same...
