Kent, There is a direct relation between the error you get and the server ignoring Fldigi reception since the "msgget" function is the one reading data from Fldigi. I am no sure why msgget would fail, but I would suggest, if you haven't done it already, to run the libinstall.sh script which is supplied with the server to ensure you have all the Perl modules required. You have to do this as the super user from memory: cd <directory where the server code is> sudo ./libinstall.sh Hope this helps.
