[pskmail] On Finding a Server

Looked today between about 14:10 UTC to 15:05 UTC for SM0RWO as the charts
predicted propagation on 20 and 17 meters. I pinged the 20m server during
the 4th minute of the hour and every 5th minute afterwards. I did the same
on 17m during the 5th minute. I keep pinging and varying the frequency
about 20 Hz each time hoping for a hit.

During the 4th minute on 14075.4 there was a faint signal at 15:04 UTC, but
it appeared to be too wide and probaby a local Pactor PMBO.

Did not see any activity on 14075 or 18105.

How do I turn the APRS beacon off? It kept transmitting at unexpected
times. Also, all I have done is input the user data with the "Edit Options"
for W2MY and SM0RWO, and set the PSK_ARQ to PSK125. Is that enough?

Happy New Year,
Steve, W2MY
