There is no specific reason other than that the install scripts are written for a Debian based system (apt-get). When you want to use another flavor you have to install everything manually, which many people find a fairly tedious job. I have stopped supporting other systems because of the time input required. But you may become a 'champion' yourself for a certain system and write the scripts to support it. We will be glad to host them centrally. 73, Rein PA0R > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: "Decossas, Michael" <Mike@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Gesendet: 02.07.09 17:19:16 > An: "pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx" <pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Betreff: [pskmail] Linux Flavors All, > Is there any reason why PSKMail server cannot be run on most of the > different flavors of Linux that are available? > I am thing of trying Scientific Linux (had good luck using it for > some other apps) and wanted to see if anyone else had tried any other > flavors. > > Thanks, > > > Mike-KB5OZE -- http://pa0r.blogspirit.com
