Hi Ralph, Gtk2::GladeXML is/are the perl bindings and yum only installs rpm's. I mean that yum will look for an rpm with the name that you entered, it will not find one. You may have better luck if you enter "yum install perl-Gtk2-GladeXML". There is an rpm for fedora called "perl-Gtk2-GladeXML-1.005-4.fc4.i386.rpm" and if yum doesn't work then you may have to download that. This part: > Setting up repositories > http://ftp.ipv6.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/ftp.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/u >pdates/4/i386/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (101, > 'Network is unreachable')> Trying other mirror. Looks like your mirrors are not setup as they should. I cant find anything at the address anyway so I assume that the mirror is incorrect. Regarding the chown/chmod I really feel that a konsole is your best friend. If you set that using the gui you may just alter the directory and not the files within. To set everything using the gui you'll have to open the directory, have it show hidden files, select all files and then change ownership etc for all those files. This whole process is only needed if you happened to untar the client files when logged on as root. I'm thinking about going through the entire install process for fedora and update the wiki. I was thinking about doing that for FC5 (as FC4 is rather old), can you update to FC5 or are you stuck on FC4 ? 73 de Per, sm0rwo
