Hej Gunnar!

Great story, I hope it was my old colleague Petter that has his boat
Saga on your island. Its nice when these things work out!

Regarding the squelch issue and hang in transmit its fldigi doing that.
Also your linux knowledge seems fine as you did manage to get the server
on the air!

I have talked to Dave, w1hkj, about fldigi and the hang on ptt issue. We
did see that it was within rigcat that something happened. I then got a
patch for trying to hunt that further and after that I had no lockup for
a month or so. In my experience it sometimes just works and does not
hang at all, other times it hangs once a day.
All I can suggest now is to try to change what you can, get a new fldigi
version and check the configuration.

The squelch thing was something I had with an older version of fldigi, I
have not seen it now for at least six months. Perhaps that puppy is
using a somewhat older version of fldigi?

I hope my comment about many servers did not discourage you, of course
we need more servers and I could really benefit from yours! What we
really lack around Sweden is a server on the lower bands. I have some
difficulties getting a long enough antenna up (besides my flagpole) so I
was kind of hoping I could hear you there :-). So, hope you relaunch
that server after summer!

Hoppas du får en trevlig båtsommar Gunnar!
