I've set $PTTCOMAND=0 and it seems that all problems are solved.
I should better read the transceiver's manual and study the mailing list
next time. There was a posting in which was written:
"OK. My Ic-706mk2g has no CAT ptt command so I need that real RTS. I
will make that work. "
But nevertheless it is strange. If "$PTTCOMAND=1" is set and I disabled
hardware ptt in fldigi, ptt is still triggerd if a <BEL> or <ACK> is in
the decoded sequence.
There is another thing which I don't know whether it is ok or not. If my
pskmailserver receives a beacon or other data in MFSK32 for example, it
sends the acknowledge in PSK500R. Is this correct or should the
acknowledge be sent in MFSK32 as well ?

Jürgen, can you try setting $PTTCOMMAND=0; in
pskmailrc.pl
I cannot find anything except 1 line of code which tries to switch off
PTT through the CAT interface when
an ACK is received (fldigi uses ACK to signal end of
transmit). Maybe your interface misinterprets that :)
