Hi all.
I fully agree with Per as I observe a lot of problems with RFI, especially with my client station located on a boat. USB seems to me quite sensitive, more than RS232. Reducing power always helps and is less tedious than looking for the right spot to change cable routing and/or to add ferrite rings ;-) . If anything strange happens: suspect RFI, unless you use 1 Watt only. And don't care, which Linux you are using.
But now I will further enjoy this one and only real summer day in Norway: all day sunny, temerature above 20° Celsius. It's going back to normal tomorrow :-( .

switch off the transmitter and see if it stays stuck. I have a vertical for 
testing about 10 meters away and when I sometimes forget that it's too close 
and go full power on it then the keyboard stops responding and the pc appears 
frozen. As soon as I switch of the transceiver it's fine again.

The server has nothing to do with this, it is coming from the client. The
client will be transmitting the email data fine, then it gets stuck and
sends the &&&& and will continue until I kill the computer. On the computer
everything is frozen, so the only way to kill it, is by the power button on
the computer. Very strange indeed.

Anyway, the server does not know how to do this, so it must be some
strange
interaction between fldigi and the TRX, as Per already mentioned...
The only time I have seen this on PI4TUE is when somebody had put the
mouse
away on the keyboard...

Right in the middle of sending an email the 1.5.10 client freezes and it
ges stuck sending over and over like this: &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
So I am not sure if it is the fldigi or not? This has happened at least 3
times this week. The client's transmitter is on and fldigi is sending but
only
