perhaps the game rules should read "AT LEAST +3"?

do the "rogue" +4/+5 bonuses mean that the player completely avoids a
particular option?
eg
Pick a number from the Random Number Table. If you have Grand
Weaponmastery (with Bow), add 4 to the number you have picked.
If your total score is 0-3, turn to "section with auto-death"
If it is 4-6, turn to "section where you take damage"
If it is 7 or higher, turn to "you shoot the monster through the eye
killing it, take no damage section"
a +3 wouldnt necessarily mean you dont reach auto-death

3. leave as is and make a footnote saying "the bonus is usually +3, make
your own mind up". perhaps in that particular case its an easy shot if
youre a grand weaponmaster with a bow and so you get a higher than
normal bonus (a bonus on your bonus).
