(inc. Book 8)
I tend to think some of these are somewhat idiomatic/metanymic expressions,
and not *literally* talking about "leaping onto" something.
Thus "leap on" can be acceptable.
02fotw:
*You rush into the stable and freeing one of the horses you leap on its
back.
I doubt Lone Wolf climbed on a platform above the horse and jumped through
the
air onto its back - probably he grabbed the reins and swung himself up
03toz:
Having satisfied himself that the surrounding area is clear, he nods his
head and together you leap on the unsuspecting clansmen from behind.
You leap from behind, not from on top of them.
04cc:
Immediately the three Crazies leap on the scattered pills and fight each
other like hungry rats to get more than a fair share.
Pills are a bit small to leap "onto".
04tcod:
*You order two soldiers to help the captain and then leap on an overturned
wagon in order to see clearly the enemy advance.
Maybe "onto" is better for this one.
08tjoh:
The leading monks throw up their hands in horror and fall against those
behind as the dogs leap on them, biting and clawing at their throats.
"leap at" might be better
12tmod:
If you do not have a Bow, or do not wish to use one, you must leap on the
Drakkar as soon as he rides within range:
maybe
20tcon:
*If you wish to attempt to leap on the last ore wagon as it passes by the
junction,
*If you do not wish to leap on the wagon,
*If you wish to leap on the last ore wagon as it passes by the junction,
*If you do not wish to leap on the wagon,
*If you wish to leap on the last ore wagon as it passes by below you,
*If you do not wish to leap on the wagon,
*If you wish to leap on the last ore wagon as it passes by below you,
*If you do not wish to leap on the wagon,
*If you wish to leap on the last ore wagon as it passes by the junction,
*If you do not wish to leap on the wagon,
onto could be more appropriate here
23mh:
The guard gasps with shock and turns to run, but you leap on him and drag
him to the ground.
maybe
