Ok I just installed and created my first C# program in VS2010. Note this is
not my first C# program for those who don't know me but at any rate. The
menus work fine for me Rick so I would need to know where you are. I am
using Jaws 11 though and I have no scripts loaded It might be that the
scripts are broken so badly that they are causing problems. I will also
point out That the intelesense seems to work out of the box with no scripts.
It isn't perfect I can see that it could be made to be much more chatty but
I was able to type application. And then a menu of choices popped up. I
then arrowed to something hit tab and there it was. Now I didn't test
parameters I am betting those won't work but the point is we might want to
take the scripts and start over. I don't mean write them all over because I
bet the forms stuff works fine but it might be a good idea to see what we
can do from ground up on the code editor. I just ran around in the code
editor and it seems to work. Of course it doesn't have indentation
announcement and stuff because there are no scripts. I am playing with this
while I write this so I am not sure the problem.

Have you tried it with Jaws 11? I can't try it with 12 till I get my copy
and I am not going to install the demo.

Good afternoon,
I have it on windows classic as the theme. How do I set the windows style?
or does the classic setting take care of style as well.

thanks
rick

Yes but if you don't have it on windows classic they won't read in vs does
yalt-f read if not it's your window style.

Good morning listers,
I have downloaded the 2008 scripts and have installed them into my system so
that they activate whenever vs2010 is launched.
just a quick question, what causes the menus to not be read in jaws?
thanks
rick

Well I want to point out it was us on this list that made those current
scripts. All you have to do is fix them. Unfortunately like some of the
other original script makers I just don't have the time to do it right now
it's time for others who need it to step up. Here is some hints.

First learn to use the home row now known as the script utility. The new
key press for this is Microsoft-insert-key pad minus, If you haven't used
it you need to learn it if you're going to play with the scripts.

Second while I didn't use it some of the script writers find windig by Jamal
a very good program to find out what is on the screen., I know it's on
Jamal's site I just don't know the address so maybe he will post it.

Back up you current scripts or just keep an install of the current 2005
scripts. That way when you screw them up so bad you can just reinstall.

The big thing is though just dive in. Get the 2005 scripts compile them and
make sure they are loading by doing insert q in visual studio 2010. If they
are loading then do insert - f2 and bring up the script editor and read
through the current scripts. After that you should have an idea of what to
change to make the current one work.

I would bet the intelesense code is what is causing the problem in the code
editor in 2005 I had to do a lot of strange window crap to make it work.
Then I think Jamal did some changes to it to. I am betting some of the new
intelesense stuff is much easier to script for but the old code is probably
making a mess out of it.

So anyway I guess what I am saying is the only way these scripts are going
to get modified if someone here has the time to do it. I have 2010
installed but I am working on a project outside of VS right now and I can't
promise I will be back into it till after next summer and who the heck knows
what Microsoft will do between now and then.

Good morning listers,
Just to add to this discussion, I have been trying to get this to work and
we will also need to focus on menus as well as designers.
Not just the code editor.
