Marvin, what you wound up doing I believe is changing the input device to something other than your original card, so its sending all sounds to ... Hades as far as your concerned since you can't hear them
hope that helps, inthane----- Original Message ----- From: "Marvin Hunkin" <startrekcafe@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi tyler and infane. okay will be installing vs 2005 tonight on my dad's machine, because, i played around trying to get my microphone to work, and went into the real tech audio manager, an clicked on the input jack default microphone, and now got no speech, no sounds, so will wait till saturday night in australia for a friend to come around and see if he can fix it. tried setting restore points, uninstalling jaws and reinstalling with help of my dad. and tried using a adaptive tech person, here in tasmania, australia, and he used a program called cross loop, and had a look at my system, alll the audio drivers were up to date. so, will have to wait for a friend, and got the 40 minute demo of jaws 9, so, what is the work around for all of my projects, for vs 2005? and also, will have to rebuild just chapter 3, as from a sighted programming friend, who was helping me out with one project, using the table layout manager, everything was on top of each other. so, how do i space out controls, and make sure they are not overlapped, and will have to go back to just standard controls, and that's about 13 project in chapter 3 of my book, easier doing it that way, cheers and any help apprecaited. got a toshiba satellite a300 psa g4a machine. __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
