HI Jonn,Thanks for this. I've actually already got an MSN Live ID. I'd be interested though if you could send instructions on re-setting the Passcode.Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "John G" <jglists0@xxxxxxxxx> To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, January 29, 2011 9:10 PM Subject: Re: visual studio 10 expressHi Mark and LauraIf you like I can sign you up individually with msn live and send you your respective usernames and passwords. Seems no matter what I do I end up going in circles, ending up right back where Istarted with no login. I was so aggravated I am just returning from a breakfrom the keyboard... I have wasted yesterday and much of today on and off trying to do a simple signup operation on live.com. I even am able to hear the audio captchas, but even so, I still can't complete the process. My learning curve appears to be a circle as they say.So if anyone has any choice words.. (um, I mean helpful comments) I would bevery grateful if it solves the problem. Note that it might be a problem on the microsoft site itself, as last night there was a message coming up that said due to technical difficulties new signups could not be processed. I haven't seen that message today, but I still am on this merry-go-round. TIA all and happy hacking. --le----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Matthews" <mark.matthews53@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, January 29, 2011 1:13 PM Subject: Re: visual studio 10 express Laura, I had exactly the same problem as yourself, although I was trying to get hold of the 2008 version. I did eventually manage to obtain an ISO file of all modules, which I still have. Obviously I appreciate that's not a great deal of use to you as you're after 2010. I'll keep trying and get back to you, although I daresay someone will beat me to it. Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "qubit" <lauraeaves@xxxxxxxxx> To: "bprogramming" <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, January 28, 2011 8:15 PM Subject: visual studio 10 expressI have been trying to download VC++ express 2010 from the Microsoft site and I've run into a problem that I can't seem to work around. The website is slow, except when I get to the part of interest, where I select a language to download. I get the little popup from IE saying it has blocked something, and I hit the jaws command alt+n to see what was popping up. It was a download button. So I pressed it. Nothing happened -- it vanished and I was taken to a page with instructions on how to register my copy. Now my problem is this: no matter what I do I can't get to that download -- nothing is ever downloaded and I end up going in circles on their site. Is this normal? I know people on this list are using VS express and can maybe clear up this annoyance. The page I start at is http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualc/default.aspx I click on download or VC++ or whatever -- I've tried them all. You can tell I'm getting crazy with this site. TIA for any assistance! --le __________ View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________ View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind __________ View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________View the list's information and change your settings at http://www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
