Well while I think them pointing at Microsoft's site is amusing your email
to them was very confusing. I am not sure what problem your really having.
Now if you want help what you're going to have to do is actually attach code
and a clear description of what your trying to do and send a question to
this list. Just saying something like I have two group boxes and radio
buttons in them doesn't tell us anything. There are a number of reasons
they won't work right from the group names being wrong, overlap, bad tab
settings, strange property settings, and even simple oddities that Microsoft
throws in just to screw with new coders.

We here at the list and the developers at FS can't really help you if we
don't have examples of what you're doing.

When Sina and I sent bug reports to FS on jaws 5,6,7,8,9 and I am sure I
will send one about 10 we would always include code, compiled executable,
and a very well thought out description of the problem. That normally not
only got us a satisfactory answer but most of the time FS actually fixed
bugs. I am not saying they got right on it that minute but if they can
actually see the problem you have a much better chance of getting it fixed.

Another thing you need to understand. FS does not support Visual studio
fully yet. The scripts are written by a third party and writing them to
complain will probably get you sent to some page that does nothing for you.
Oh wait not probably it did get you sent to a useless page.

Ken

        Hi.
using jaws 10.0. 512.
and for my applications, tabbing through the controls, and say for one of my
examples, have the text boxes tab stop set to false, and then this is the
problem, jaws cannot read some of the text boxes, as the window is covering
it, and then also the grafphic , above the main window or in the main
window.
and the title, and did maximize it, but it is still not reading fine.
the only way to get round this, was for one of my examples was to not set
the tab stop to false on my controls. when using group boxes.
and this might fix the problem, but still reading using the pc to route jaws
cursur, still does not read all of the information correctly.
and also, in the code editor, tried reclassing the windows classes to multi
line edit, and when i type, i do not hear the word or the . just not even
blank, and only when i hit the enter key, do i hear what is typed on the
screen with visual basic express 2005, never had this problem with visual
basic 2008.
now i am using visual basic 2005 express with sp1. for windows vista home
premium.
can you get your developers to see if they can replicate this problem, or
maybe do a jaws tandem session, then they can see what i mean, and some of
my projects are still in 2008 format, and as i uninstalled 2008 and only got
2005, long story.
now, they will have to have both version of vb on their systems.
cheers Marvin.

Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Technical Support. In order to
determine the best way to address the problem that you are having when
reading a Visual Basic .net application with the JAWSR for WindowsR screen
reading software, we need to know exactly what version of JAWS you are
using. We would also need to know if the controls you mentioned are reading
as you tab through the controls, etc. Please supply some additional
information in these areas.
