Hi Mr. T:
I tried Googling on Visual Studio and User Data but guess what? I found
billions and billions of articles on DataBase thingys. Where can I find
that User Data Setting? I don't recall it in the Editor or Project Options
or any of the others. I will start slogging through every Tools>Options
setting of the ide looking for it but it might not even be in the VWD
Express IDE anyplace so I thought I'd ask first.

If your error list is popping up when you type, you may need to just reset
user data.

Hi,
Unfortunately I don't currently remember the exact setting, it was done
sometime ago. Ever since that, I've been importing that setting when ever
I install the VS. And it never really happend. The only time the error
list come up recently, I just gave focus to it and choose the hide option
from the window menu. And it whend away.
BTW, I never use the error list, I use the output window instead. The
errors are listed in the output window if the build fails. And the option
for showing it after build is set in my environment.

Hi Narandis:
Instead of just importing all your settings how about telling me how you
set the options using the tools Menu. Currently I find that the Error
List will pop up but not read anyting until you either hit enter, do a
manual read of the Error List using the View Menu or build the project.
Then it can get a little problematic. Are you saying you can turn off
all occurances of the error list popping up unless requested using
either a hot key combination or the clicking the item under the View
Menu? If I remember I did your settings some time ago and it did not
eliminate the problem, just reduced it but I could be wrong.

I use VS for all my coding for .NET. And it works fine for me. The
error list issues etc can be solved by changing the setting in the
option dialog box. Here is the link to my vsSetting file, importing it
has removed error list issue for one of my friend. Please export your
current settings before you import this.

Note: this is a setting file exported from vs2008, I am not sure how
well it would work if imported into vs2005.

Yes, but I want to write the interface and everything in code, not
fight with jaws to get the items I want, press enter on one of them,
then have the errors list come up every time I pause in typing for
more than one second. This and other issues are why I do not like
using VS to do anything.
Have a great day,

Alex you first design your user interface then write the code for
each user
interface element. You'll also need to declare any classes, and
stuff like
that.

Subject: vb code?
Hi all,
Is there any way to write the entire text of a vb program? A
friend of mine is in a class for vb and I am looking at his stuff
since I want to learn vb; people say it is good for sound game
devolopment. The class uses visual studio, which I really hate!!
Is there any way that I can just write vb code in a text file and
run it? The project made by VS does not seem to have just a
single code file, like c# would. Am I missing something, or is
this how vb is supposed to work, with no code and only clicking
and adjucing properties with a gui to "code" a program?
Have a great day,
Alex
