ok, to shorten my search, where do I specify folders for system backup?
These are just automatic updates that I never programmed, so I don't know
how to change them.
Thanks.

No, this isn't the case. The file that is being to be backed up is a norton
file, usually a temp file, or a garbuage file t hat oesn't mean anything to
the backup. I am not sure, can you exclude directory paths from your
backups? This would be your best solution as backups go, exclude the
folders that don't have of any importance to you.

Thanks.

U would avoid these errors entirely if you'd simply put all the files u wish
to back up under the "my documents" folder. It makes backing up your
critical data a whole lot easier. It's not so much a norton problem as it is
a windows problem, in that windows cannot back up live files, e.g., files
that are being used.
