ah, yes, I wouldn't feel proper deregulating a nation if not world wide standard for just a very very small few folks with a trouble, when the standard is already set and a national near rebellion would be the end result.

and I am blind, and have worked as an installer, and yes it would be nice, but the de standardization of that particular item is a ridiculous request with a scope so large you obviously are unable to fathom it

*shaking head* sorry dude, it isn't going to happen, not in anyone's current lifetime.

all I can say is practice up on your optical cabling methods, which are handleable by the blind, since its a growing area and blindness is not nearly as much as a hindrance there as it is with cat 5 or 6 cables.

why do u think?
cuz the industry/design has been set and nobody will want to change the size of the rj45 interface to suit sightless.

why don't create some one a standard to make those cables to have distinct sings on them other than colors.
Something that we can tuch.

unless there is a color reader with a very minimal viewing area or a narrow or corner mounted view lens, no, there is no distinguishing factors to the separate wires inside the cable themselves.

been there done this drill,

working with the tools for this isn't hard, and you should talk to your instructor, mine (an ex-air force major) actually worked with me herself and we made a working cable, but she did have to read and hand me the wires.

if you go to do this, just remember to find and keep track of the curved cutter hook on the tool, it is really sharp and would not be hard to lose track of and slice yourself a good one, when using it, PAY! ATTENTION!

good luck,

Hi all. We are making network cables in a class I am taking. To be specific, they are straight through cables. Can anyone provide any info on how I can do this particularly identifying what color each of the wires are. Is there a factor that will identify it?
Thanks for any help.
