On my home computer, I'd just highlight the sucker and do shift-delete. Where I work though, I have no control over what software is on the machine other than what I develop and no input into what does or does not get installed. Some of these email programs have all urls disabled. Email messages with some of those urls have the urls stripped out too. To get around that behavior, we substitute spaces for all the periods and loose the http:// or https:// prefix. The recipient on the other end gets to fix the url before getting there. If anyone has comments, please share. I can't even swipe the link and paste it in IE7 to go to the links. It is very annoying.
