It is a Dell, just gotten in late June of this year. You mentioned not
hibernating, which is certainly possible and would explain a lot. Soon I
will have a sighted guy I know open the back and look at the proc to make
sure paste is there. If not, we have some Arctic Ice, or whatever that brand
is, around here somewhere. Good thought! I would be surprised if a Dell had
a problem like this, but then again I know a guy who got a Dell a few years
ago. When it came in the mail it started, but he saw nothing. It turned out
that his video card had never gotten connected to the motherboard... Talk
about a big "oops" for Dell!
