Hi,
I have no problem with pointing out the beta URL. I do have a problem with
public arguments that should be private. I do have a problem with people
clogging up the list with moderation type messages. I do have a problem with
people not caring about the spirit or intent of this list. I do have a
problem with flip, smart, disrespectful comments clogging up this list when
it could be used for more valuable things. Is that clear enough?

This is the first indication you have given that responding with a beta URL
is not wanted. Now, that I know this, I won't do it again.

I thought that would be preferable than having discussions about it.

Take care,

Very good point, but you're venturing into the venue of the JFW list rather
than this programming list. Furthermore that sonia poster has already posted
the necessary info to send jaws bugs a couple of days ago.

How about so others here can duplicate problems so more of us can
report bugs to FS so they can be fixed?

This below is an example of why it would not be a good idea for this
list

to
allow any discussion regarding jaws 9. People conveying their problems
with the beta will serve absolutely no purpose as nothing can be done
by any

of

us and the final release could be a very different monster. Why spend
so much time and effort discussing a work in progress? Its completely
redundant work and effort.

Thanks,

Matthew

Hi all,
One problm about jfw 9.0 I am really having trouble with is that when
I have it first starting up when I boot my computer up, it doesn't
tell me when messages are unread in Outlook Express. I have to
restart my JAWS 9.0 to make it say the unread notification before it
reads the message subject, and who it is from. It is wierd. Tell me
what you guys think.

totally agreed, reporting is great, anything else other than
proposing fixes until FS gets to it, and I would say Pass those fixes
to FS as well as

us

would be a good thing, but any more than that is bellyaching and I
agree that it should be cut off, smile

Hi,
Saying what is wrong and confirming it among list members is fine.
Going on for days about it isn't. I will go that far and I feel
that's OK.

Hi,
I totally agree with this, and instead of complaining on this
list,

please

constructively take the time to report issues to FS.

I would urge all of you to report like crazy.

I've already filed at least six bugs, if not more, and I am hoping
that

my

experience with the .net bugs repeats itself and they fix these
things.

Obviously, don't make them frivolous, and try not to make them

useless

bug

reports such as those that are the fault of a particular software
application, instead of FS doing something wrong in jaws, but I
hope

they

will take them to heart.

the email address you should report to is:

support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've been using the subject prefix of:

jaws9 beta bug report

followed by a colon followed by a space and then a short subject
for

the

problem.

It helps them a great deal if you include steps on how to
reproduce the bug.

Good luck all

Take care,
Sina

Jim,
I am a student and use this list a lot. I don't want to have to get somewhere else. I am writing to let you know that I agree with what you've said about clogging up the list, but not the way you said it. This list should be a programming list, and there have been offtopic coments since I joined, but this is really the only problem that has arrisen about offtopic coments.
