Hi Marvin. You must add both the MinGW and the MinGW\bin directories to your system environment path like this. So if your MinGW directory was installed on your c drive, then your path should look something like this:

c:\MinGW;c:\MinGW\bin

hi.
got mingw 32.
now installed it.
now set up the path.
but when i go to the command prompt.
and type g++ the name of my file, and the name of the command.
g++ says it cannot be found.
now how to compile.
now not allowed to use visual c++ in my course.
and now using text pad for coding.
can any one help.
a real pain.
was using cygwin 2.95.
but needed a new version.
but could not find.
3.4 or 3.5.
tearing my hair out.
