Hi Alex,

I downloaded the VC++ embedded compiler for Windows from
Microsoft.  It is
free.
Unfortunately I missed the download link. It was a file called
eVC4.exe, a
self-extracting archive which contains the complete installation
CD.

There is also a service pack 4 for this compiler. It is called
eVC4sp4.exe.
You will have to install this as well.

IN addition you need a Platform SDK from the manufacturer of the
device you
are programming for.
