could you expand on this a bit, what 50¢ part is required? I worked, no actually more like played with modular electronics when I had my sight, so thirty years ago, but have forgotten more than I remember and haven't even tried to keep up to date properly with the newer electronic components setups.

The technician I talked with last night told me he doesn't know if the DVI standard has ever been defined and written down anywhere yet too. Probability for now is we can't yet get there from here yet.
