Your right as long as your in the BIOS your not on harddrive or any software used on it. You guys have to remember that the C MOS is not very big talking about kb not mb and only uses the basic of hardware. Sure it runs a test to see if harddrive is there and basic IO test for other device, but only gets response back not full run.
Something capturing the video output is what you want.I think it was the old external decktalk or double talk. That could trap video out put. The only problem was you got once reed and no way to review. So ever move had to be sent to synth by print screen key. Now the disk BIOS used by IBM and Compac aka JUNK. You could get into BIOS function from DOS. However, any changes made had to be reboot and if not excepted would go back to past settings. When they got rid of the BIOS on harddrive. It was for the best, because those boxes crashed every time you add or removed a part. You could try to get USB video output from it, but might not even see and only use on board video.
