I think this is hardly fair. I'd much rather havehim understand true usability concerns, cognative psychology, audio engineering, and so on, rather than some stupid basic like language from a billion years ago. That's what we're here for with respect to what scripts do, what he needs to do to set things up, and so on. Let him focus on real issues, rather than pesky little technical details. I wonder then how he can actually evaluate the advantages of using his sound scheme... I've downloaded them from the grabbag site, but I'm having a little trouble getting everything up and working. Right now I'm using the Jaws 8.0 Demo, Visual Studio.net 2005 on Windows Vista. I've tried Jamal's script auto installer, but for some reason it keeps crashing with the following error: Stop error 1452: REG functions: Unable to open ( or create) specified subkey On line 332 of C:\jsx\jsx.wbt In routine setdefaults Then it has information which, I'm guessing, is something about the script, which says: If s_defDir ==0 || s_defDir =="" Then s_defDir =LowTrim(RegQueryValue(@RegMachine, s_key)) Is there any way I can install these manually? I've found Will's instructions which, I "think" are for manual installation, but the files it says to find I can't seem to find (on vista). Any suggestions? Andreas P.S.
