It was just an exploration thing.  I prefer VS 2010 by far, (though if I can 
ever get it to work is another story).

Is it just for exploration's sake  that you are using Mono instead of actual 
.net? I guess its open sourceness could be a concern for some distribution 
models, but I am short on reasons why you'd develop with Mono on Windows.

As per http://www.mono-project.com/Supported_Platforms there is a Windows port

And with regards to how Orca will handle that. Hmm, that’s an interesting one. 
I would have to do some research into that. I don’t think Mono is expressed via

Okay.  Thanks for the info.  I wasn’t sure about that.  But one thing I know is 
that Open Suse has the Mono Framework in it by default, and accessibility wise, 
on windows, it doesn’t really work too well in terms of the dev environment, 
but how about accessibility with GTK# on linux?

KDE is making some strong steps towards accessibility, but is hardly there yet.

You could try it, gnome would be sluggish for you unless you have plenty of 
memory to spare, but I'm not sure. My problems may just be a Vinux issue 
though, because I ran a windows XP vm for testing for a while on the same 
system with the same amount of memory. I have not had the time to sit down and 
configure Linux+orca and gnome to see if it is in fact a Vinux issue though.

If you're using cli, these friends don't know what they're talking 
about--virtual instances are just fine. Hell, there are enterprize level sites 
ran out of the cloud, which is *gasp* virtual. My servers are virtual instances 
on big boxes with tons and tons of ram, and they run perfectly. Now, if you 
want a GUI... At least for Vinux, virtual does "blow," because it's slow, laggy 
and painfully slow.
