Well one could easily set it to another key combo that doesn’t do that, right?

I use it without scripts. I know there are scripts but it works fine. Only
one problem I have and it’s a minor annoyance and I am sure if I wanted to
script it I could script around it. I set my leave vmware window key to
control-alt-shift. This doesn't interfere with Jaws but once I am out of the
vmware window then control is locked because of the control-alt-shift combo.
It just means I have to do control-alt-shift. Then control-shiftlock and then
I am off and running. So I have got really fast typing that. I have found no
other problems with jaws.

And is VMware player accessible all the way with JAWS? I’ve heard various
complaints about that.

My Ubuntu 64 under vm ware player on a Intel I3 2.1 with only 4 GB runs vinux
just fine giving it 3 gb of ram and 2 cpu. you can give it up to 3.8 without
killing the machine. if you only have 4 GB to give. I will let you know how
much better it is when I get the 8 GB put in my laptop. Note though it would
also help if you had a laptop with a 7200 speed drive most are not though.
Mine is only a 5400 but it with my low end hardware it still runs really well.
It even runs better on my Mac book pro under fusion which is just vmware for
Mac. On there I am giving it a full 4 gb because I have 8 gb and at the time
didn't know it was ok to go ahead and run it at 75 % of the memory available.
Anyway it runs very good on my machine. I have found though that most of the
AMD machines don't run vmware very well so since you have intel you should be
pretty good.

Speaking of virtual, and sorry to get off topic, but I’m curious. I plan to
run a virtual instance of Open Suse from Novell on my laptop using VMware
player starting this summer. I want to get acquainted with the Unix
environment just for the heck of it, but two of my friends say that virtual
instances of any Linux distro don’t work very well and that they “blow”. What
do you have to say about that? Do you agree or disagree? I ask because I want
this to be a cool experience rather than a waste of my time. Thanks.

Hi Storm,
Very cool. What does someone need to take the class? I have Vinux Virtual on my
machine at home.

Hi,
It looks good. The only thing is, although you mension the Vinux Project you do
not make it a link. It should link to:
http://www.vinuxproject.org/
Also, if you would like another bash resource I have been teaching a class in a
new Vinux experiment called Vinux Classes. It's an irc chat room set up
specifically for teaching Vinux related classes. All the classes are logged and
are located at:
http://classroom.vinuxproject.org/
Thanks
Storm
