RE: Programming Query

What I would recommend is understanding the programming language first.  An
IDE is not for beginners even though some universities  and colleges,
especially, make the mistake of starting students out on one.

Once you understand what a class is, package is, how programs go together,
what jar files are, and so on.  Then what eclipse can do for you is quite
powerful.  But if you go into eclipse and you select new interface because
you're wanting to make a GUI, not knowing that interface is a java type,
then I think you're going to end up wasting much more time than had you not
done so.

eclipse can work for C++ as well!
