Thanks for the info. Since I'm a software developer I'm always interested in sources. I'm working on projects of my own and am looking for code tghat I could study and borrow. My project requires MathML. I don't think it is really designed for people to read, but it is great for programming. jOHN On Fri, May 28, 2010 at 11:45:47AM +0300, black ares wrote: > You are going in the wrong direction. > Latex is a text oriented language (read about it on the net please) > Is a language in which you specify how your document want to look. > Yes, miketc have an linux distribution, and different editors can be used > with it, because it acts like an compiller for latex. > >From latex a plenty of formats can be generated including dvi, pdf, ps. > Why do you need the source form, if the programs are mature, you can do > with them every thing you want, and they are free. > But for your pleasure, yes, miktec is in source form too. > But I don't understand why do you need it. > I think that there is out there a mathml generator from latex, but I don't > like mathml. > Also there is an ocr program, named > infty reader > which takes a tif photo and make ocr on it and can generate plenty formats > amoung them mathml, html, latex, hrtex. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "John J.
