MinGW and Wx

Could any C++ developers help me understand how to compile the latest Wx
source from
http://WxWidgets.org
with the latest compiler from
http://MinGW.org
I've followed all the instructions I could find on the web, but the Wx
libraries fail to compile. I'm sure this is done regularly since they are
both open source projects that C++ developers use together.
